U.S. homeworkkkkkkkkkkkkk?

What were the differences and similarities between Lincoln's Johnson's and Congress' reconsrtuction plans?

In your opinion how much did the assassination of Lincoln effect and impact the plans for reconstuction?

What are the social, political, adn economic difficulties that the US faced after reconstruction?

i cant asnwer the first one. but i think i know the second and last ones.

-the assination of lincolnn effected his plans of reconstruction because lincoln shaped

the country so much, so far. and now that he's dead, the u.s. doesnt know what to start

with, they thought lincoln knew what to do. he split up the country and northand won, now what?

they were left to deal with the after mass of the civil war, and they needed to know how to clean it up, and with the president dead, who would lead the country?

social difficulties- the north & south practically hated eachother, how could they like eachother

after they just found a terrible battle, how could they work together as a team again? the u.s. was still split apart socially even though the north won the war. the north and south are still very much different, and there opinions are still held high in debate against eachother.

political- during the war, congress was fighting eachther just like the north and south. the men in congress, some supported the south and some supported the north, and there differences led to differnt agaruments, and they didnt agree, so they split apart too, now they have to work together on a plan that they can agree on to reconstruct the states. but without a president. now they dependant on eachother, but how can they wen they dont agree?

econimic- the economic challeneges faced were that durring the war, supplies, towns were destroyed, many people died, um, fields were burned. food was a really high shortage, the south was dying. they needed money and supplies that they werent getting. they needed to rebuild an economic system over again. they needed to rebuild towns and fields and plant crops. and just mainly reconstruct on what they have.

&& also what were they to do with south? punish them? they didnt know what lincoln should do, and thats another high debate question. with some of the men of congress supporting the south still. (they dont end up punishing them, i dont think)

but basically reconstruction was hard for them because they were lacking the supplies, there leader, and the pride and support of its people (:

    hope that helped.

the differences are that Lincoln wanted to do everything fast and smooth but Johnson wanted to make the south suffer for what they did.

Well social are that the south called northerners Yankees economically they suffered because they had to rebuild something they destroyed
