hiding ip.address software?
i am connected to wifi in a large complex, it is an unsecured connection. i have heard that there is software that can be downloaded to hide my ip.address. can anyone elaborate?

You can go on the internet to and find a list of IP proxies then use Mozilla Firefox to change your IP address.
Preference>Advanced>Network>Settings
Click manual proxy configuration and enter this 89.175.96.238 and for the port enter 3128
That is a good IP proxy that will effectively "Hide you IP address".

You can not hide a ip address. Even if you could you would never be able to get a reply because the machine you were talking to would never know where to send the data. Only thing you can do is connect to someone else then have them connect to where you want . This is called a proxy. There are a lot of proxy server the good ones are "$$$ pay for" servers.
