Ferret might have hurt her leg but I'm not sure - what do I do?
Oh my gosh, 5 minutes ago, I was playing with my ferret and she got under my foot and I accidentally stepped on her foot (in socks, on carpet, and not with all my weight)... She let out a little squeak and ran and hid - I'm worried I might have hurt her front paw
She seems to be walking, playing normally, but when she's just standing she is holding her paw up and looks like she doesn't want to put weight on it - walking fine though. Her paw also looks ok and she's letting me touch it no problem.
The vet closed 1/2 an hour ago, I don't have a car to drive to one in the next city, and I HAVE to leave the city early tomorrow morning before they open, and she's staying with a friend - I don't really have a choice.
What should I do? Would it be OK to just keep an eye on her for an bit (like 30 mins) and see if it gets better, or would it be better not to take any chances?
She seems to be standing fine now too - just readjusting her footing her and there, and favouring the other foot a little...

Well it's most certainly not broken or fractured if she can walk and play with it still, I have a little doubt it's sprained but my highest guess is maybe it's twisted slightly and still quite painful for her. Let her rest now so she doesn't put any strain on it and let her rest most of the day tomorow - see if it improves from there.

Ferrets have very high pain tolerances. If she's acting differently at all--not putting all of her weight on her fpaw when she stands--I would take her to the vet. They don't usually show weakness until they can't stand the pain.

i don't think her paw is seriously hurt if it was she wouldn't be able to walk on it at all.it might be a
little sprain. if you haven't a way to get to the vets see if one of your friends can take you. but if she
seems to be ok and it doesn't look like it's bothering her she'll be fine, just keep an eye on her any
way just to be safe.
