If I have white people in my family, does that mean I can say I'm mixed?

Both of my parents are black. But my grandfather has white relatives. Can I say that I'm mixed or am I just fully black because of my parents? I don't want to say that I'm mixed just because it sounds good, it's just something that always confused me.

It depends on how you are related to your white relatives. Say one of your grandparents is white, that would lead to you being part white also. But if your aunt married a white man, giving you mixed cousins, that would not effect your blood-line. You would still be black but you would have inter-racial family members.

If both of your parents are black, than you are black. being mixed is over-rated anyways. unless your mixed with something that nobody has every heard.. thats interesting..
