How can I get my keyboard to behave?????

Grrr, my keyboard is driving me round the twist. When I'm typing it seems to always be two steps behind. Eg,this i me typin norally. Why does it keep skipping letters?. I have to watch the screen and continually go back and fill in the missing letters. It's not as if I am a super speedy typist, I'm a two fngered novice. Any help or ideas would be great. By the way,I replaced the keyboard last month as I thought that was the problem but this one is exactly the same...

When you have a CPU intensive program running in the background, say anti-virus program checking or scanning, your system's basic input devices such as keyboards and mice lags. Other things that can cause this is a virus program running in the background.

Make sure that it is not a virus but having an updated anti-virus program or connecting to a free online virus scanner such as Kaspersky.com or F-Secure.com. If your system checks out fine and didn't find any virus, run a defrag on your hard drive. Your files maybe fragmented an your operating system is taking too much time looking for necessary files. Finally, if your system is simply tasked, try adding more RAM.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Try using non-usb keyboards because maybe your USB ports are having problems.

if you are using non-USB, try using USB type because you may have a faulty keyboard port also.

(just checking if you have port problems since you stated it's not your keyboard)

Maybe its not your board but the system. Maybe your PC needs a clean-up (or an upgrade).

Do you also have problems on clicking items on your PC?

    also have mouse moving delays?

    does your PC lag often?

these are signs of a slow system. if so, you need to see a technician.

It is a problem with your computer. It could be that you have faulty memory or that it is running too many programs or it may even have a virus - take it to your local friendly computer expert or shop.

Try placing it in the naughty corner every few hours, or you could resort to light spanking.
