Why do most Muslims think that all Christians are Catholic?

Because outside of the US most of the Christian world is Catholic. 1.2 Billion of us.

When other world or religious leaders want to talk to the Christian authority and get the right answer they go to the Pope.

Its alot easier than figuring out which of the 40,000 different Protestant Churches to talk to, because they will get 40,000 different answers.

To the rest of the religious world all the other Christian sects are cults. Protestants live in a bubble called the USA and dont respect other religions or cultures.

I mean, they're Muslim - so their first concern is the beliefs and practices of their own religion.

Muslims aren't Christian - so how are they supposed to know everything about the different denominations of Christianity?

Evangelicals are merely sects of Christianity. Catholic and Orthodox have been around over 1000 yrs longer than than any of the protestants, and the evangelical sects are even younger. Catholic and Orthodox are the main divisions of the faith in the world outside of the US. No wonder they think this way. Pax Christi

Do Christians think all Muslims are Sunni? No. They are free to read and find out for themselves. They are not instructed by a breaded man-who alone can translate Arabic to any language of the modern world in the context of their culture. The Prophet Muhammad has asked all Muslims to read. There was a time in Christianity when all had to read in Latin........

Because most Christians in the East ARE Catholic or Orthodox. In the Middle East, almost all of us Arab Christians are Orthodox and Catholic. And Evangelical Christians are a cult (most of them) because they support the destruction of ALL Arabs (Christian and Muslim) at the hands of Israel for their unbiblical "rapture" prophesy.

It's only because Catholicism is the biggest sect in Christianity.

I am a muslim and I dont think this at all. And NO 'islamic leaders' dont teach us that.

If you're so annoyed about it then why don't you educate them? Maybe you should also educate yourself on islam?

Dont generalize.

Islamic leaders teach to behead Jews wherever you see them, they can't be taken seriously. Nor can any Muslim be taken seriously.
