Sounds like he may have been your friend but you certainly weren't his.

There's plenty of people who would conspire with you to cash the ticket, you can even have a lawyer establish a trust to collect the winnings on your behalf. Of course, the lottery commissions do investigate the top tier prize winners especially if there's a complaint from someone who claimed to be the true owner but in general it's a bearer instrument so there is the potential of losing it all plus however much the lawyer and establishing the trust company costs.

As to your friend, he's better off knowing that you're no friend of his.

He's either bored and just making up stuff on here or his friend is playing a practical joke on him and he's too dumb to realize it's a fake ticket.

Give the ticket back. Stealing a ticket is the same as stealing money.

If he is really your friend you would give the ticket back.
