removing anti virus programs why do some companies make?
why do some companies make it so difficult to remove their programs? they certainly are not making any friends, in fact, it seems they are really pis---ng people off. i have tried to remove iolo/system mechanic for weeks now. neither ioli nor kaspersky or anything else i tried works. i don't understand why they are so intent on creating enemies.

Well, there are two competing properties of AV software:
It needs to be virus proof, which includes being hard to turn off/delete. Viruses can spoof the actions that the OS takes in the "normal" procedure of uninstalling ...
They also want to make money and vendor lock-in is a tried and tested method of doing this. Just look at microsoft.

the companies are not trying to make enimies however there are some programs that are intenionally hard to remove becuase they are there to help the computer and viruses will try to remove them so the make it harder to remove it becuase they don't want a virus to try to remove it.

Use third party uninstall program such as your uninstaller or revo uninstaller.
