would like to know what is the best brand land line phone to purchase. i have tried uniden, panasonic and others i cannot remember.

i purchased an ordinary battery charger for just ordinary household batteries (aa &aaa) the salesperson told me i had to use the same brand batteries as the charger. i was told there was a chance the batteries would explode. i find this hard to believe as i think all Rechargeable batteries are made from the same materials. i would like some input on this.

i know this has appeared before i would like some more input, please. what in the world is the aarp good for. for all the problems seniors have and these folks do nothing but sell insurance, harass you for funds and sit idly by about senior abuse. also, they word promotions as if it is necessary to be an aarp member to receive different options regarding health care, aaa, phones, etc etc

how can you tell if your land phone is tapped

why is it a lot of seniors absolutely refuse to even try to learn computers and yet, every-time they need something looked up, a picture made, something printed and on and on, they expect you to do it for them, usually for free.

i have offered many of them to help them learn, even offered to use my own computers, cameras, printers etc, and still, they refuse to even take a first step.

i don't mind helping but, this is getting to be a real pain in the butt. by the way, i am also a senior citizen.

i have been hearing some noises about government stepping in and regulating the internet and would like to hear some thoughts on this.

some people say to leave it on all day, others turn it off and on when using or not using. also in regards to the modem, should i leave it on when i am off line or the computer is turned off?

i installed kapersky anti virus 2010 and now when i sign onto windows it is very slow responding. the same is true when i try to go online.. need help. in fact my computer is horribly slow overall now.

i keep getting telephone calls once or twice a day at least and on the caller i.d. it states out of area or unknown name and unknown number. if i answer the phone all i hear is a click. if i let the answer machine pick it up nobody leaves a message. i have no idea what is going on and this just doesn't make any kind of sense to me. what's up?
