I was about to ask the same question on here. Haha. My mother-in-law, Margarita, always boiled the meat forever. Then she added a bit of tomato sauce, comino, different spices, bouillion, peppers, then flour to make the gravy. I can't make mine taste exactly like hers so I was looking for a recipe since she's passed on.

Carne asada is basically grilled meat. It's usually beef. When the weather is nice we fire up the charcoal grill. If there's little time or it's raining we use the frying pan. Most people use a very thinly cut piece of steak. These cook more quickly. Also, since native Mexican beef is tough compared to Argentinian or American having a thin cut makes it easier to chew.

Many people marinade their meat before grilling. A typical Mexican marinade is worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and minced garlic. You can use other things like herbs or spices.

You will want some chorizo and guacamole on the side. Some people have beans, whole or refried on the side too.

Make sure your tortillas are fresh.

    Wash it down with beer.

First of all you need to decide what type of meat you want to use. There are many to choose from. Since I am from Los Angeles, Ca. We almost have everything accessible. I own a Mexican Meat Market and Restaurant so here are some ideas. It also depends on how its sliced. You can use Flap Meat or aka skirt it needs to be sliced thin. If these are not available you can use boneless chuck also sliced thin. Now the trick to keep it juicy is to chop into small pieces after it is cooked. For marination you can squeeze some lemon and oranges onto the meat before you cook it. For seasoning you can use Lawry's seasoning or just plains salt and granulated garlic. You also can cut into small pieces when it is raw then marinated and then cook it on the grill or pan

The easiest way is slice up beef oe steak very thin. Marinate for a couple hours. In a skillet, saute meat on low/med with some some bell pepper and onion. Throw in some jarred salsa and let it simmer..

"Tacos" are not actually an entree, they are means of food delivery. You would not need to have a recipe to put something inside a bun, same concep. Just grill some beef, add your favorite toppings, and fill a tortilla with them.
