I like to watch streaming media and listening to streaming radio. I want to consolidate my list of stations into a player that supports flash files, such as VLC. I can use Orbit Downloader Grab ++ to download the actual .flv files, but I do not want to save the stream, just find out the referrer URL to view on VLC, any ideas?

A neighbor who lost their home to foreclosure gave me her two terrapin turtles, they are the small kind that can live in fish tanks. Unfortunately, the only fish tank i have is full of goldfish, and the terrapins started eating my fish! Any ideas where I can take these turtles so they can be adopted by someone? I took the turtles in as a favor, but I don't want them to eat my fish, and I don't want to invest in another fish tank just for them.

I have a shared drive in an XP proffesional machine, I am able to access the shared drive with a wired network vista machine and with an xp based wireless laptop. i am not able to see the xp computer with the shared drive with a vista desktop that connects wirelessly. The wired vista desktop and the XP server can see the wireless vista computer on the network. the wireless vista computer can see the vista wired machine but not the xp one. both vista computers sare running vista home premium. the dhcp server is a linksys wrt110 and the wireless acces point is a wrt54g in cascade mode. wrt54g and wrt110 are connected with a netgear hub.

I have a canon ES50, made around 2000 in the original 8mm tape or "square 8" format, its a great little camcorder that i have just dug up from my closet and want to start using again. While searching at the stores for new blank tapes, i have discovered that 'Hi8" tapes are more readily available than regular "8" tapes, physically and mechanically,the tapes are the same; and they are both analog recoding formats, not to be confused with "Digital 8". I know that a tape recorded on Hi8 will not play back on a regular 8 camcorder, because of the difference in analog format, but can a blank Hi8 tape be used in a regular 8 camcorder to record in the regular 8 camcorder format?

i have replaced a 2wire 1000HW gateway with a 2wire 2701HG-B Gateway router/dsl modem. in my network list i am able to see all the computers in my home network with their correct connection type. For some reason , i am getting two IP addresses being assigned to devices for which the connection type is unknown, deciphering the MAC addresses reveals nothing . this is the devices in question and listed as active.

If i reset the network list, the "phantom" devices will disappear, but will later return, maybe under different ip addresses but with the same "Unknown" connection type. Pinging the IP addresses in question returns "destination host unreachable". With my previous 1000HW i never had these "phantom" devices. Is this a feature of these more recent 2701 design?

i just tried the new burger shots, an obvious ploy to copy the white castle slider. i found them horrible, the bread is cold, and the meat patty is just the generic Bk broiled taste, and where is the onions?, for the money, the whopper junior is better. BK forgot that what gives the white castle slider its taste is the sautéed onions and the steamed roll. your thoughts?

I have just tried the snack wrap mac, it is basically a hamburger patty cut in half and wrapped with a cold flour tortilla and big mac dressing. i found it very greasy and disgusting, the brown paper wrapper did not help contain the grease, which went trough my paper bag! anyone else try this abysmal failure? your thoughts.

the soles of my feet are very dry, the skin is very cracked and itchy, i have tried jergens hand lotion, nivea dried skin care, and ponds moisturizer. with all these products, as soon as the cream dries, my feet will go back to being dry. I have gone to dermatologist who suggested hand moisturizer,any suggestions on moisturizer, preferably over the counter.

I have an AGM battery from a battery booster, rated at 12Vdc 17Ah. if the voltage reading on the battery is 11Vdc, what is the current percentage of charge? once i know this percentage, how can i convert it to remaining amp hours and calculate amp hours to charge? mathematical formulas are appreciated.

I'm 32, there is no history of male pattern baldness in my family, my brother who is 2 years older than me and my father, who is 60, both have a full head of hair. I noticed that most of last year i had horrible dandruff, i could not put my fingers trough my hair without dandruff specs coming off. i tried some shampoos but nothing seemed to help the dandruff, suddenly the dandruff went away but then my hair started falling out, specially above my forehead and on the back of my head, could there be a connection between the dandruff and the hair loss? anyone had this happen to them? any treatments? will rogaine help?
