unable to see xp shared drive server with wireless vista computer?

I have a shared drive in an XP proffesional machine, I am able to access the shared drive with a wired network vista machine and with an xp based wireless laptop. i am not able to see the xp computer with the shared drive with a vista desktop that connects wirelessly. The wired vista desktop and the XP server can see the wireless vista computer on the network. the wireless vista computer can see the vista wired machine but not the xp one. both vista computers sare running vista home premium. the dhcp server is a linksys wrt110 and the wireless acces point is a wrt54g in cascade mode. wrt54g and wrt110 are connected with a netgear hub.

Update:

@Chris

I dont run any type of symantec firewalls. the microsoft firewalls are set to exempt file sharing

Update 2:

@joemama

i am able to ping and run remote desktop on the xp server from the wireless vista pc, and i can see my wired vista machine from the wireless vista machine. i do not think its the cascaded wrt54g since i am able to access the share drive with a wireless laptop that runs xp with the cascaded wrt54g, it has to be some network thing in the wireless vista machine. network is set to private.

    I just recently had a similar problem. What it turned out to be on my system was a firewall was blocking it. I use a symantec anti virus which has network protection, i had to create a rule to let all wireless udp and tcp/ip traffic through it. I also had to let it through the WAPs firewall.

    Sorry if this is no help could be worth looking at though

    Does the XP machine respond to ping from the Vista machine?

    Try to connect to the XP machine from the Vista machine by connecting directly to the IP vs Machine name. \\ipaddress\share vs \\machinename\share

    Just curious- why the netgear hub? Why not just connect the wrt54g directly to a port on the wrt110?
