Wireless router question: (Suse Novell linux) shared key won't work.?

My old belkin works with mac pc, windows pc, ipod touch, linux laptop (Suse Novell), but NOT with my new Sony blu ray player. So, we bought a Linksys, which works with everything except the linux Suse Novelle laptop.

It will work with the linux laptop if we use the linksys "open", but not if we put a shared key. (Yes, I understand how keys work- don't forget I got the shared key to work with the sony blu ray and ipod touch etc)

Any ideas? Right now we have BOTH routers going. It's just annoying.

Update:

But what doesn't make sense to me is that the suse novell DOES pick up the linksys when we have it on "open", but the minute we change it to shared key, it won't work- even though we enter the key, etc.

Yes, right now both routers are sending out signals, and we use the belkin (shared key) for the suse novell and the linksys (shared key) for everything else.

    Are both routers sending both signals? Sounds like each router is either sending one or the other...

    and some gadgets only recieve one or the other. Your newer gadgets prob recieve both, the novelle laptop prob only recieves one.

    You could purchase a wireless adapter (usb plug in) that recieves both for around 30 -40 dollars. Install it to the laptop in question. Then all gadgets should recieve the newer router signals.
