What is "draw" betting in relation to the game of cricket?

Can someone explain the draw betting and why it is used in cricket matches?

Draw betting is only available in test matches (5 day format of the game).

This is the result when a match is not completed within the 5 allocated days,

A bettor who is betting for a draw would usually be confident in:

    - both teams batting abilty to bat for extended periods of time

    or

    - the match being affected by weather and significant play being lost.

'Draw' betting should not be confused with 'Tie' betting. A cricket match is a tie when the match is completed with both sides having made the same amount of runs. In this case, bets are often made void or settled as a dead heat between the 2 sides (depending on the rules of the individual agency).
