Downloading Videos/Programs?

Question

Hi, I'm looking for a program that can download any video, any size or kind by a URL?  I would prefer first of all to not have to pay, second of all to not have to make an account, and finally I'd prefer it wasn't a program I have to download, more an online thing.  But, at least, does anyone know a really good free downloader, even if I do need an account/to download it?

If you're talking about FTP or HTTP, nearly all web browsers support both.

There's a small chance that your web browser may not support FTP, but if that's the case, your operating system may come with an FTP client anyway, so you still wouldn't have to actually download anything. 

Are you trying to work in a very restricted environment? Such as a computer that you are not authorised to use? If that's the reason why you cannot download third-party executables despite actually having an Internet connection, you may wish to use a virtual machine instead.
