What Movie do You Think Will Win The Academy Award Of Best Picture This year?

After the Globes, I think Avatar is a now a seriously serious major contender. I think it looks like it'll be between Avatar, The Hurt Locker, and most likely NOT Up in the Air (did you see Jason Reitman's face at the globes when Avatar won? I thought he was going to punch somebody!!!)

But The Hurt Locker seems too low-profile to win.

Best Actor... I think well go to Colin Firth, or Jeff Bridges. Not George Clooney.

Best Director - I would like to see a woman win (Bigelowe), and though he won at the globes, I have a feeling he might not win at the Academy (Cameron).

Best Writing - I seriously hope they do not nominate Avatar (story = wth?). I'm hoping for an Inglourious Basterds win.

Actress - between Bullock, Streep, and I think Mulligan is also in there...

Supporting - Monique and Christopher Waltz, hands down.

There are 2 questions here: which one do i think WILL win, and which movie do I think SHOULD win. As for which movie should win, I'd go with The Departed the whole way...just absolutely amazing as to what probably will win, I'm thinking it'll probably be Babel, just because of the Golden Globe win, but if not, then The Queen I just hope Little Miss Sunshine doesn't win one movie that got no best picture consideration at all that I think was extremely underrated and at least deserved to be considered was Blood Diamond

I think best picture will probably be precious. Avatar should win considering how its doing at the box office but movies like that never win.

Best acctress I think will be Sandra Bullock (its her year)

Best Actor will be Jeff Bridges or George Clooney.

Best director will be James Cameron (hopefully)

I'd say Avatar has a good shot at it despite the bias against sci fi and fantasy. It's a better movie than Titanic (which won Best Picture) and a return to what James Cameron does best. It's a blockbuster that actually lives up to its hype and gives us a whole new experience.

It's between Avatar and The Hurt Locker for most of the awards.

Mo'nique will win best supporting actress. I really hope that Carey Mulligan wins for best actress, but I think that that'll got to either Meryl Streep or Sandra Bullock (both of whom are very deserving).
