Is it safe to mix alcohol and vinegar for a household cleaner?

yes. as a matter of fact, i use 1/3 alcohol, 1/3 distilled white vinegar, and 1/3 water in a spray bottle to clean my pergo floors. the alcohol makes the floor dry faster to eliminate streaks.

yes it is safe. vinegar contains acetic acid, which is often made from alcohol. but i don't see why you would need both. white vinegar makes a great cleaner and disinfects. alcohol disinfects but it will probably not dissolve dirt and grime.
***do not mix vinegar or alcohol with other cleaners like bleach.

This cleans damn near everything including glass hardwood floors countertops Chrome stainless steel. The alcohol really helps to clean the deep dirt and takes off stains as well as helps it dry faster to reduce streaking. The vinegar conditions what's your cleaning as well as acting as a soapy substance for getting out grime. Saves money And resources and doesn't pollute the air in your home. ")

I actually mix these two with some tea tree and lavender/peppermint oils.. makes a great natural bug spray...
