Economic stimulus repayment?

My son receives SSI and got the 250 check in 2009. I've done several tax return calculators and it deducts the $250.00. My question is do I have to claim this being as though it was for him but I am his representative?

I know SSI isn't subjected to federal taxes.

No, you don't even have to put it on your tax return! Only the taxpayer and his spouse report the economic recovery payment they got! The dependent's income has no bearing on your tax return!
