I honestly don't remember anything about delivering the placenta. I had an epidural so I couldn't feel anything and after my son was out, I couldn't keep my eyes off him. I didn't have to do any pushing or anything like that, the doctors took care of everything.

the placenta is delivered the same way as the baby after the baby is born. you will continue to have contractions during delivery of it and afterwords too. it hurts just as bad as having the baby. I personally recommend not having an epidural. I chose to have it and hated it because I didn't know that it paralyzes your legs, and frankly I felt like I needed to use my legs to push. The epidural did take away my pain but they ended up taking me off of it so that I could know when to push. It was completely useless for me. I hope this helps. Have a wonderful pregnancy and a beautiful birth!

After delivering the baby, the placenta feels like nothing, although it was annoying to have to push one more thing out after working to push the little one out. Delivering the placenta didn't really hurt, after delivering the baby, your endorphins do kick in, and I delivered within pain relief because they couldn't get an IV in, and baby was coming too fast for an epidural.

It is easily delivered, usually the contraction after you have your baby and a lil tug from the doctor are enough, maybe one small push. It doesnt hurt at all just feels really slimy and gross.

I didn't feel it but I had an epidural and was given a shot to make it come out faster.
