Do you think words like skeptical, cynical, cold hearted, pragmatic, distrustful typically describe atheists?

These words all have a similar kind of feel about them, don’t you think? If you describe someone as having at least one of these character traits then the others aren’t too far away either, right? Could you describe a typical religious person with having any one of these traits?

In this place for sure, usually the ones I meet seem alright

    The question isnt right though

there is only one kind of atheist, people who dont believe in God

there are hundreds of different denominations with hundreds of different beliefs in the same religion

I do believe these words could accurately describe an Atheist. BUT, I also believe these words could accurately describe a Christian as well.

You may ask, "If a Christian has these traits, they must not be Christian, right?" Well, there ARE Christians who are skeptical, cynical, cold hearted, pragmatic and distrustful. They DO accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but they may LACK the knowledge of knowing how to BE a Christian; which in my learnings is to Refelct who Jesus was and is.

So to sum it up, the traits you provided pretty much somes up anyone; Christian and Non-Christian alike. I would say learn to be more open-minded. Atheists have a hard time understanding us Christians just as much as we have a hard time understanding them.

    Hope that helps!

I would suggest that to me, skeptical and pragmatic are positive words.

Many individuals in any group could be described this way.

how bout for christians self absorbed, single minded, pushy, overexageritory, plus the fact that god is the biggest reason for murder countless people have died over the fact that they don't believe in the same thing you do that sounds nice does that make u feel good? hope it don't. stop trying to make me feel bad by grouping me with words that don't describe who i am b.c i choose not to believe in something u ignoramous.

You might think these words are somehow related. However, that doesn't mean they are. You group them together based entirely on your own limited personal experience.
