Paulie Malignaggi - "Why didn't Pacquiao sue ME? The Mayweather lawsuit is all publicity"?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYhUaJE7ygc&feature...
In this link, beginning at 6:27, Paulie Malignaggi, a man always known for speaking his mind, asks the question why Pacquiao did not sue him but sued Mayweather for his opinion, claiming that he's been the most outspoken about the steroid controversy and he feels that the lawsuit was all publicity. He also feels that he can never pick against Pacquiao because Pacquiao is roided up in his honest opinion. Malignaggi also says that "I think Miguel Cotto got beat by two cheaters."
The first 5 minutes of the video are of Bert Sugar giving his opinion of why the Pac-Mayweather fight didn't happen. He blamed Mayweather for it, but he was intelligent about it.
My thoughts are the the same, I don't think Pacquiao is on the Juice. Your thoughts?

Pacquiao feels like his good name has been tarnished and you can't blame for feeling that way.
I think he is going after Floyd and his team because they were the ones who started the accusations and they were the ones who Pacquiao was in contract negotiations with.
I still feel that Manny should have agreed to the tests because more testing is no bad thing and if you have nothing to hide then there should be no problem. However I don't believe he didn't agree the testing demands because he was hiding something. I believe the only reason he didn't agree was because Floyd was trying to call the shots and there was no way Pacquiao was going to be told what to do by Floyd. If the new testing demands had come from the governing body of where ever the fight was going to take place then I have no doubt that he would have agreed to the fight and it would be taking place

For one, nobody cares about Paulie, except Paulie. He'd probably love to get his name drug into it so he could get some more attention. Really though, all of Malignaggi's interviews I've seen specifically have him stating his "opinion" with no real accusations. He started out by simply saying "something wasn't right with Pacquiao," but not straight up saying he's on roids.
I personally don't think Pac's on roids, I honestly think the whole Mayweather family is jealous, but the fact is nobody with an opinion knows and Manny has every right to turn down Floyd's demands because they are just that... Floyd's demands. Not the NSAC, any sanctioning body, or any officials demands.

It's a valid question. But Paulie is not in the stature of Floyd for Pacquiao to even bother paying attention to. But the catch is that Paulie's own assertion has even added some credence to the May's suspicion that Manny may indeed be on roids. It's really hard to tell if Manny is clean or not until he submits himself to stricter drug screening. That urine test result his camp showed recently means not much in view of the fact that hgh is not detectable in urine.

Andrew (Lisa's Husband) did a great job answering the question.
I think Paulie Malignaggi is trying to make a name for himself and using Pacquaio's name helps boost his popularity because of the vast attention he received. I also find it surprising why Paulie Malignaggi is not sued but I guess Pacquaio may be taking it one time after another since it was the Mayweather camp who first directly accused him and it turned into a wild fire that all of a sudden Pacquaio's name and reputation has been partially destroyed.
Every human with principles, morality, and ethics, and also to those who believed in civility, regality, and integrity, all humans are innocence until proven guilty. Accussing someone without evidence for the sake of ruining someone's reputation is 100% wrong. I would never in my life teach my kids to accusse someone of cheating and try to ruin their name just because of an opinion. Facts and evidence matter in the real world, and Paulie is wrong for making inaccurate statements without facts.

I would first have to the scope of the lawsuit, like who exactly is being sued for what types of things. My assumption is that somebody involved with GBP violated some kind professional and ethical standard. Of course it's Floyd's fault, it's Floyd Mayweather.

Well, all I could say is that Malignaggi does not count. It is very clear that he is just sour-graping because he is being ignored by the boxing world, especially by the Pacman. And the Pacman is not using any addictive drugs.

i think the whole lawsuit was about suing golden boy so pacquiao could get out of the contract with them

paulie is correct. paq's lawsuit is all about publicity (to act like hes all insulted and maligned by the accusation of him using ped's) AND getting out of his contract with golden boy promotions. after paq stupidly signed 2 promo contracts with arum AND gbp, a moderator ruled that gbp gets a % of paqs fights while top rank is the main promoter. both arum and paq want out of that contract. more money for them. thats why hes suing mayweather AND gbp. obviously paq was advised to file this suit by arum, who is as slick and dirty as oil. paulie is not a stupid kid. he doesnt mouth off for no reason.
