My dog hates getting her nails trimmed?
anyone out there use something different then just the regular dog nail clippers, if you have used something different and its works great, send me a picture of it, or the name of it so that i can go buy one
i use regular dog nail clippers, she hates it, ive never made her bleed, cause i know how to trim them, but she pushes me away with her back legs, pulls away, does everything to get away from me, i trim her nails every 2months, cause they get to long,
i saw that commercial on it, of that doggy nail filer, but don't know if it actually works, and want to get opinions from people who actually use it, before going out and buying it
if you use something different then the regular dog nail clippers, send me a picture of it, and the name, or the website of a store that carries it
well the only treats i can think of that she would actually love to have, is cut up hot dogs, she doesnt like doggy treats, very weird doggy,
can you give me a website where they sale them at, that way i can see how much they are, so that i can put the money together

Dremels are fantastic, they sand the dogs nails away without the CHOONK sound when you cut them.
I find my dogs take to this a lot better than cutting.

edit - You can buy them from most hardware stores. They are used for finshing off timber items so they will be in the timber hardware section.
Alternatively yu can try pet stores for these as well.

My dog hated having his nails clipped after a bad experience at the vet's as a puppy. I've now changed him to nail grinding with a Dremel and it's working out great. He used to freak out when his nails were touched (he would get so scared his gums would turn white and he would shake) but now he's relaxed and lounges around while I do it.
The whole Pedipaws thing pretty bad- it's not effective and the batteries are crap.
I'd suggest the following website- it has great information and pictures about grinding a dog's nails: http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merensjp/doberdawn/d...
A couple tips: I recommend introducing the dremel over the period of a few days with treats, so that it doesn't scare her and becomes a positive experience. I would also wait until she is sleepy so that she's relaxed, and also keep lots of treats handy so she looks forward to it in the future.

Many dogs do that.
I don't think a new tool will help.
Just do one paw a week.
