Yes. It will matter for the rest of your life.

If you complete USMC Boots and Infantry training, you will be ready for anything.

After the Marines, you'd have money for tech school using the GI Bill.

In case you don't know it...as long as you can get in...you can go to whatever school you want after military service...heck you can even sail the seven seas on a raft if you want....

You could even work at Burger King a few years and go to tech school...or in the circus..

my buddy is leaving in febuary for the army, hes going in as a combat engineer. sounds like you buddy. I dont know what the marines offer.

join anything you want, and instead of infantry, why not go into engineering and get the head start on construction,

for you it would, joining the USMC is and would be a great experience for you.

sounds good buddy, go for it.

But remember,...it's the CONSTITUTION you must defend, against ALL ENEMIES,..Foreign and DOMESTIC.
