Will uninstalling and then reinstalling itunes delete my music?

I clicked on itunes and it said that "Quicktime was not found. Quicktime is required to run Itunes. PLease reinstall Itunes." I dont know what to do because I have over 2000 songs and a lot of them are bought so I do not want them to disappear. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! Should I uninstall itunes and reinstall or should I do something about the Quicktime? HELP ME!

You should have been backing up your content all along and then it wouldn't be such an issue now. Uninstalling iTunes will obviously delete the music from iTunes, not the files from your hard drive. Download and install iTunes and QuickTime without first uninstalling. Learn more about managing and backing up content in your user guide at Apple.com/support and in iTunes Help and Tutorials.

I believe it will ask you if you want to delete the music or not. Just to be safe, though, you can copy-paste the iTunes folder in your music folder (and maybe a bit farther down into subdirectories) and put it some place safe like an ext. hard drive or even your desktop. Then put it back if it gets deleted during uninstall.
