Best way would be to use a car type amplifier (it would be best to show your speakers to a car radio store for them to get the best match) then connect the ipod to the amplifier via a 3.5mm to RCA type cord

through an amp!some radios will play the ipod on a few channels.if that is the case,you can just use the radio.if not,use an adapter to run from headphone to rca to tie into the amp,and keep the volume of the ipod low and let the amp do the work.
