1981 dodge p.u. half ton, slant 6,automatic trans. lock out problems.?

Intermitantly, when you come to a stop it will jerk and chug as if you did not use the clutch on a standard tranny. Transmission or torque converter? Its not a vacuum leak , carb or timeing. It jerks the whole drivetrain like a clutch is not dissengaged. Lockout torque converter? Is there a temporary bandade ......oil change?

drop the pan off it and clean the converter switch out on it is the only way to repair it,the fluid gets dirty and causes that to happen,i own an 82 model though that doesn't have lock up on it,and never has had it,disconnect it from the transmission and see if that repairs it,there's small wiring harness that you can take loose long enough to find out if that's it,good luck.
