I've worked on small block chevy's a long time and have never seen blocked water ports in the gasket before. The manifold and heads have flow through water jackets but the gasket is blocked off with a small hole (3/16" maybe) punched in the top of the blocked port. What is the purpose of blocking that water jacket and wont that cause a cooling problem?

1965 dodge coronet 318poly (rocker covers wavy on bottom) torqueflite auto, my mom drove it, my sister drove it, passed it to my daughter who drove it till the unibody folded in half. 1989 I picked up a 1940 Plymouth pu, bad shape but a project. Used the engine tranny rear end and wiring harness from the coronet and a 1978 pinto rack & pinion front end. 2010 I started working on it again.

318 locked up. Marvel mystry oil and wd 40 in the cylinders and a breaker bar, trying every nite to move it, about a month and I got it to turn 1 complete turn. Took the rocker covers off to make sure

all valves were moving, it started and now I have about 3000 miles on it. It needs valve seals and a rear main seal but runs great all stock with the 2 barrel carb. I've always been impressed with the gas milage and don't plan on hot rodding it when I over haul it when it needs it but as fast as it seems to be now I'm curious as to what makes it , not at all a hot rod engine, as was stated in anotherredman's answer to my last question about the 318. The answer he gave me was very informative. But I am curious about the hot rod part.

I have a 1965 dodge 318 wide block, I know there are a couple of types of 318s around that year

and I think one of the differences is the rockers. I have all the rockers on a rack rather than all individual rockers. What type is my engine I've heard of poly or A series? The engine came out of a coronet 440 which I believe to be a B body series.

I am fixing a leaky heater core from a 1965 dodge coronet. What is the maximum pressure it should safely hold when I test it?

I got a new delco radio #16041591 in a swap meet deal with some other parts but the connector and harness are missing. I've looked on every where and spent some time on the internet and haven't found any info or harness that will help. Does any one know about thris hook up?

The brake warning light in the lower right corner of the instrument pannel blinks 6 times then stays on for a couple seconds then repeats the 6 etc. all the while I drive it.Ive done brake jobs on lots of different vehicles since

Most of the air from fan blows from lower vents by your feet and some from the defroster but it will not switch. I took the control panel out of the dash and the y all seem good and there is vacuum going to the switch. How much should there be?

Is there a common problem ? Nothing in my service manual about that system.

I've got a set of old chrome mags on a 39 plymouth pu. The center spokes are aluminum and starting to peel. The outside steel rims are good.I want to remove the chrome from the spokes and polish the aluminum. Iv 've tried sandblasting and wire brush on a grinder. Is there an easier way?

good vacuum to solenoid,with a vacuum gage hooked to the hose at the egr at idle no vacuum coming from solenoid,as rpm is increased vacuum jumps to 10-15 lbs then immediatelty drops to 0 untill the engine

is returned to idle and reved up only to repeat the vacuum drop.

Pontiac being out of business, I'm having difficulties finding the nylon feed and return lines that run from the steel lines to the fuel pump in the tank.G.M.told me they were out of production,just find

something that will work. I'm working on my wifes 1999 Trans Am. Are Camaro lines close enough to fit ? Are the snap on connectors the same? A lot of partspersons are very little help these days.

Having up to 60 psi rubber hose and worm clamps do not seem safe.

while checkingthe usual problems I finally noticed gas residue coming from the top of the tank

Idroped the tank and could see nothing obvious but 2 snap on fuel line ends felt loose. the ends have been off before for evap service are the o-rings in the snap on lines replaceable or do you have to replace the lines1or2 o-rings look checked or cracked so I'm assuming thats where the leak is

I unplugged the EST wire ,the idle changed,I think it should,timed it useing an inductive light. when

I plugged the EST back in the idle stayed the same. Shouldn't it idle back up? Also with thhe EST plugged in I pointed the light at the mark and it drasticly jumped off the timing mark plate form one end to the other. The engine surges at an idle. ECM or ESC ?

While trying to find a new noise I jacked the car off the ground and let the rear wheels turn in reverse for a very short time and not fast. The traction control system light and the anti=lock brake system light came on. I found the noise,nothing to do with either system, but now the lights stay on even after unhooking the battery to reset the computer. What did I do ,how do I fix it.

changed sparkplug and coil pack , unhooked the battery while making these changes to reset computer now service engine light blinks

are the cylinders numbered on the right 1234 & left 5678 or right1357

& left 2468 and what is the firing order for a 1965 dodge 318.

I have acess to a good firebird body and a good camaro v6 I think they are the same cubic inch.

Intermitantly, when you come to a stop it will jerk and chug as if you did not use the clutch on a standard tranny. Transmission or torque converter? Its not a vacuum leak , carb or timeing. It jerks the whole drivetrain like a clutch is not dissengaged. Lockout torque converter? Is there a temporary bandade ......oil change?

There must be a recipe to stick it together as you press it.

P446 I've replaced the canister purge solenoid and the pressure control valve, checked the vac lines,dropped the tank.Whats left? I can't get the car inspected.
