Tums vs. chewable calcium tablets?

I know Tums basically consist of calcium and that many actually take it as calcium supplement. Those this mean that I can use any type of chewable calcium tablets to treat my heartburn?

    As long as it's calcium carbonate.

    i like chewable pills exceptionally in the event that they seem to be a sturdy style. isn't it unfair how young toddlers get the tastier drugs? once I take drugs, it is often a pill (that I swallow). Yuck.
