Internet Explorer crashing after new security software installed?
I can't use Internet Explorer now on Windows Vista after my husband installed new security software. Where do I start looking for a fix? I tried downloading it online. Didn't work. Rebooted, didn't work.
What next.
I'm using Firefox for now.

You should scan your computer to find if there are missing, outdated, or corrupted drivers.Outdated hardware drivers can cause a lot of errors and even crash and slow down your computer and the infamous "blue screen of death"and even fail to start Windows. This can be a very serious problem and your computer might even fail to start Windows. Drivers are vital to a computer system. Without the right drivers, it is going to be impossible to make any device run. However, you don’t need just drivers.Outdated drivers may interfere with newer software. If you are fond of installing the latest and fastest programs over the internet and yet you continue to use old drivers, you are putting your whole system at jeopardy. You need new and current drivers to make sure that your system would work as designed. The most serious problems that they encounter as they use their computer may be resolved by a simple driver update. The best way to update all of your drivers is to use driver updating software. I should like to commend Driver Robot http://best-way-to-improve-pc-performance.com/ to you.

Opera? only kidding .. . . the huge question will become, what replaced suitable before the situation began. Did you install any plugins or updates for any classes? it quite isn't person-friendly to comprehend. you may attempt uninstalling you antivirus and notice what happens to get rid of that as a results of fact the reason. you may attempt doing a equipment restoration to a date while it became working and this could eliminate any driving force/reg entries which would be an argument. If all else fails, use your XP set up disk and boot from CD. on the demonstrate screen the place it asks approximately new set up or restoration attempt restoration after which you have gotten to reinstall IE7 (unsure). i admire (properly no longer "like" as in savour, yet as in sense the want) for overall performance and themes like yours to do sparkling installs and format my significant force each few months to scrub out each and all the registry entries and drivers, etc that clutter my equipment. quite approximately to do it returned. it's time eating and that i've got lost media and alertness as a results of careless backups yet stay and learn. stable success. it is tough as a results of fact it is something completely unrelated to IE7
