Sojos dog food.. is it any good?

I was just wondering if sojos grain free dog food mix would be better for my dog than feeding him kibble. He is on Fromm right now.. and I want to know if the sojos would be nutritionally better for my dog.

Update:

i know I am supposed to add meat... I was planning on bison, salmon, chicken, venision ect..

There is no one best food. Just follow the rules - high quality protein, no fillers, no by-products.

Sojos is supposed to be added to meat - it isn't, on its own, going to provide proper nutrition.

Wild canines do not eat fruit and veg unless they are starving or prey animal number are low. Dogs are carnivores not omnivores. With the exception of MAYBE the apples(grain free formula) none of what they have in their products is anything a wild canine would come in contact or eat. A properly fed raw diet of muscle, bones and organs and fish will provide plenty of the proper nutrients. People really need to let go of this idea of balance - do you eat perfectly balanced meals three times of day of x amount of carbs, protiens, fats, etc etc etc? Save your money and either stick with a high quality kibble or a proper raw diet without any of the extras some people would make you feel you need. And if you need another reason why not to bother with this or any other freeze dried add in "Why is it so important to soak the Sojos® mixture? Soaking improves digestibility. Cats and dogs have a strong but short digestive tract designed to quickly break down and absorb foods. Grains and vegetables require more complex digestion than meats, fresh fruits, and other foods so having them soak in water at least 15-30 minutes for the European Style Mix or Monzie's, and at least 1 hour for the Europa is critical to the success of the Sojos diet. Soaking overnight in the fridge or for at least a half day is ideal." So not only are you wasting time and money, but you are still going to be feeding your dog something they don't need and will go through their system relatively undigested.

That is a great question and everyone is going to have a different answer but that does not necessarily mean that it is the right food for your dog. I recently lost my seven year old German Shepherd to cancer and that is when I went searching for the cause. I came across a website on the internet that shocked me into disbelief that I probably had poisoned my dog to death and didn’t even know it. Most dog foods are loaded with hidden poisons and other obscenities I still have a hard time grasping. Before you feed your dog another meal you must educate yourself about the dangers of commercial dog food so that you can pick the right one. There is a video about this at

http://www.realdogfoodcomparisons.com/ that goes into to detail about these hidden dangers. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me! Best Wishes!

Honestly, no. I looked it up- it is merely but a bunch of dried out vegetables to add as supplements to meat. It is made to be a part of a homemade dog food, not the sole dog food.

If he is doing well on what's he's on now, then why change?

    http://www.sojos.com/europa.html

I looked at some of their other options- they are all grains and veggies to add to meat, and the ones that you COULD feed solely were not very good.

besides.. why not just feed meat if you are going to feed it... it's not worth spedning money on.

After reading the ingredients list on both of these dog foods I have a question for you. Wheres the meat? Neither one of these has any meat in them just cereal.

    Dogs eat meat not cereals
