iPod not syncing in iTunes.?

I added a bunch of music to the iTunes library, hooked up the ipod, they ipod says syncing, itunes says syncing, yet no new music shows up on the ipod. i have it set to manage music manually. i am running Windows XP. I tried Mediamonkey at a couple suggestions, and I am having the same problem, where the ipod says syncing, yet the library is not showing up on the ipod. is there something i am doing wrong? Any suggestions on another program that might work better for me?

okay this is what you do. keep it to manually manage music and when everything is done syncing. look on the left side where is says your ipod name and what not. right under your ipod name on the left it should say Music. click that. then click setting. somewhere on the bottom right of your i tunes it will say autofill. click that and let it sync

Source(s): ive had my iPod touch for awhile and i got over 1300 songs. i think i know. hah

no do not use "manage music manually" especially on a PC that is a  feature that they forgot to take off from the  OS version. turn off "manage music manually" and then it should just put the music on by itself. otherwise you may need to do a ipod update or have to reset your ipod it will say all of that on the "summary" page on your computer when you plug it in

I say look for a firmware update and reset the player. As long as all of your music is in Itunes, you can just synch again.
