How can I get rid of this Yahoo Updates box?

Every time I post an answer in Y!A, I get the following message box:

Manage who sees your updates

Don't show this message again on Yahoo! Answers

I've tried to stop it by un-checking the "share my updates" option in my profile and I've clicked on the "don't notify" me option for Y!A (also in my profile), but I still get this box. I've also been checking the "Don't show this message again" option in the box, then clicking on OK... it doesn't help either.

Please tell me how to get rid of this annoying message! Thanks!!

I did a bit more digging and came up with a resolved question, and this solution did the trick! Here's the link:

When I did the "edit my info" option on my profile page, selected "Don't share my updates" from the pull down menu, did preview, then submit... IT WORKED!!

I still think it's pretty cheesy and user UNfriendly that we have to do this in two different places to get that pesky window to go away... but at least now it's gone!!

    Go to your profile > Edit my info and under Updates you'll see a drop down menu. Change it to "Don't share my updates"

    Yes, I'm getting it too on either browser that I use, so it isn't that. I don't know why Y/A users need to be annoyed with this. Write in to Yahoo about it. I may do the same

    I get that too! I am surprised more people aren't complaining about it! It's driving me nuts, I have said "cancel updates" and "don't ask me again" and it never works! It's definitely making me less excited about YA... whatever you do, don't waste your time trying to talk to a yahoo person about your problem, I think they seriously enjoy being 100% inaccessible and having the worst customer service of any organization...ever.

    It appears to only Yahoo!Xtra.

    Switch to Australia or another English speaking country

    Use the flags below.

    So far I have yet to work that one out yet.

    It started yesterday.
