Random Poll: Where would you rather live - Phoenix or Denver?
So my best friend and I have decided to leave New York and move somewhere else. We've narrowed it down to two cities and can't decide. Where would you rather live - Phoenix or Denver?
Thanks! :)

Denver
Colorado is really nice state. Cold weather in the mountains yet nice sunny and 70 degree temperatures below. I heard it's really fun from people I know that live over there such as my Aunt. There's a ton of activities to do
my Dad lived in Arizona and said it was way too hot. Temperatures can reach 120 degrees at times
and it's nice to see you back :) Hope you have fun wherever you decide to go

Denver!! The lifestyle is so much better. Don't make a mistake. Move to Denver. The People are wonderful.
Phoenix is full of urban sprawl and it is way hot in the summer. Also, there's no water! The water table is low there. I don't understand why people move there. If you move to Phoenix you will move back to New York within a year. If you must move to Arizona move to Tucson. It's a great city without the urban sprawl and traffic congestion that Phoenix has.

I have lived in Denver and spent a bunch of time in Phoenix. Denver is temperate in climate and close to skiing. Phoenix is so hot in the summer you will want to die. The great part about Phoenix is that you are close to LA and Las Vegas. Phoenix also has great baseball. Spring training is in Phoenix and the surrounding area. Denver has all major sports and plenty of government jobs.
I would move to Phoenix, when the earthquake hits California I will have beachfront property.

Denver If you want to live in a nice area close to the city then look around the following areas: Capital Hill, Washington Park and Cherry Creek. Depends on your definition of "safe"- Denver isn't like a lot of cities where there are truly REALLY scary neighborhoods (like New York, Chicago, LA). A lot of people really like Highlands, which isn't far from downtown Denver (but you can't walk to downtown from there), but I've lived in Uptown for 6 years and although I'm married to a former offensive lineman who can go ANYWHERE, I often walk by myself before, say, 10:00 pm and I'm fine. Very little crime here. Several theaters nearby!

Denver could be the enjoy where the sparkle will sun 300 times of year. Denver is a booming ethnic world, diverse neighborhoods, and normal beauty combine for the world's many spectacular playground and with hotelbye you can see getting there. Denver is the area for: World-class attractions, organic wonders, growing arts scene, a large number of revolutionary and acclaimed restaurants and nightlife options galore. Denver definitely got it all. In Denver you can look at the Mount Evans and the Mount Evans Highway. The Mount Evans Highway is just a seasonal path which can be shut during the wintertime weeks

I went to college in Boulder, CO, and I later lived in Tempe AZ for a few yrs, so I'm qualified to comment.
Denver is more interesting. There are more things to do, and the nightlife is better, if you know what yopu're looking for. It is more cultured, less congested, and the people are nicer. Phoenix is great if you have a lot of money. Then, it's wonderful. but if you don't have lotsa bucks, Phoenix sucks. Its high-crime. If you're going to be cutting it close financially, you'll be forced to live in the Mexican ghetto neighborhoods... which kinda sucks. I'd do Denver if I were you.
Ironically, I now live in Vegas, and find it funny how people are suggesting Vegas to you. There are no jobs in Vegasat all, so don't plan on coming here unless you bring about $100,000 with you. People are leaving in droves.

OMG I love Denver, the mountains, the city, the Denver Mint it's so pretty!
I haven't been to Phoenix but I have only heard positive things about it! People from Wisconsin retire and move there!
Both ~ I'd love both. I can't choose. Sorry Elizabeth. But you picked TWO great places

Since I love golf, I'd choose Phoenix even though I'm a Bronco fan. The winters in Colorado are similar to New York, but it would be a change for you going to Phoenix where the weather is milder in the winter. However, in the higher elevations, they get snow as well.

This is probably a biased answer b/c i have only visited only one of those 2 choices(Phoenix as i stayed there for 4 days & i loved the city) So i would say Phoenix. I wish you the best of luck o this major move in your life.
