I recommend updating your Firefox browser. Actually, I recommend downloading the latest setup/installation file, then uninstalling and re-installing the browser via that setup file (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html ). You haven't stated what version of Firefox that you're using, so I can't say for sure whether your display will change. However, unless you check the box to delete your preferences when uninstalling, then your settings will stay the same if you re-install.

With that said, versions of Firefox prior to 3.5 seemed more stable. Yet if you don't keep browsers updated, it's more likely that you'll expose yourself to security risks. Changes to your display will be likely minor, unless you're updating from Version 2.x.

Firefox had been crashing on me a lot lately, but I recently followed my own advice from my first paragraph. It's been working pretty well so far.

If you encounter consistent problems with Firefox despite re-installing from the latest installation file, then you might want to consider a web different browser. For example, Google Chrome is growing in popularity (http://www.google.com/chrome ).

As far as I know everything looks the same...i have only used the mac version lately, but i didn't notice any difference in appearance or functionality. The new version may have some new features, but it won't confuse you. I would highly recommend going ahead and upgrading.

The newer versions of Firefox do have significant improvements in security and occasionally in speed, but if you're satisfied with the one you have, then "don't fix it if it ain't broke."

It's pretty much the same. Some functionality fixes and behind the scenes details.

It won't look different to you.
