The Amarna period, when Akhenaten was Pharoah, was an era of dramatic change. Akhenaten itnroduced drastic reformss to the Egyptian religion, instigating a cult of the Aten as the one God, built himself a new capital, at Amarna, and there were striking changes in art during this period. akhenaten's reforms were generally unpopular, and were reversed afte his death.

My opinion is the 50 years before and after Tutankhamen. His father Akehnaten and mother Nefertiti changed the face of their religious beliefs. This period is very interesting.

I would say the period where Hatshepsud was Pharoh (First female ruler). She is considered one of the most successful egyptian rulers. It is very interesting.
