Reading the description of the first knife, it is NOT spring loaded, but opens with a thumb stud. So long as there is some resistance which has to be overcome to open the knife, it is legal under Pen C 653k. All the other knives are legal as well.

There are no laws generally regulating knives by length in California. There are some for specific locations such as airports, schools and colleges, and government buildings. Fixed blade knives cannot be carried concealed on the person, nor can folding knives in a fixed, open position.

However, there may be some local regulations which are applicable. You should check to see if there are city or county laws. I do not believe that they are enforceable, but you should probably avoid being the one to test them.

The first knife appears to be spring loaded and therefore would be illegal in California per 653(k) of the penal code.

The second knife is legal in California.

The third knife is legal in California.

The fourth knife is legal in California.

Remember that a knife is a tool, so when purchasing a knife ask yourself what the primary use will be and then decide which one to get. I highly recommend against purchasing a knife for self defense since the ability to use one properly in a fight requires a lot of training and practice. You also have to assume when involved in a fight that you are going to get cut, either with your own knife or the other guy's knife. If you aren't ready for that to happen then you have no business being in the fight.

Have you looked up what the max length can be. They just look like regular pocket knives to me, and should be legal.

The second and fourth one would be acceptable to carry around. As long as you don't hurt anybody with them, or commit any crimes with them on your person, then you'll be fine.

The law is to have no concealed weapons, and no blades longer than 3".
