Will President Obama propose downsizing government and tax cuts for all?

It's obvious giving billions of dollars to banks and Acorn didn't help most of America. In fact, we are still loosing jobs nonstop! Does Obama realize that it is time to cut taxes and the size of government?

no. It's against his ideology! Remember what he told Joe the plummer during the campaign. If he does it will be for a minimal amount and for a short period of time, and then he will go on to something else hoping people will forget and not follow up to see if it was actually done.

The size of the government doesn't matter so much, but the taxes do. By slicing taxes, the government has no revenue, which means that gas prices will soar (no gov. subsidies), the public school system will die (majority of Americans growing up without education), social services will disappear (thousands of dependent Americans will die), and a load of other bad things will flood in. The federal government should back away a bit and let the states thrive, but not to the point of division of the nation. This nation needs big government to look after its many citizens, just not big, concentrated government.

I propose additional taxing to the upper class, because they can handle it without much backlash.

Tax cuts, that's the ticket. It didn't work for the eight years of Bush. But it's sure to work this time.

Either my memory is failing me or Bush passed a couple of the bailouts and the minions of the corporate overlords, all parties, blocked limiting how the bailout could be used. Say for instance no parties and no bonuses.

Down size the government, good idea, I can think of 41 people, taking taxpayers money without making any useful contributions to running the country.

well it worked for ray guns. he spent his time making speeches about downsizing government, all the while tripling the size of government on his watch. and yet, he is remembered as a small government proponent.

That is surely not the liberals', the Democrats' wish because then where will they get the money to go on their junket tours like the ones they went to in Copenhagen.

NEVER would he say that. The dems want to control all Americans and doing what you say would not give them that power.
