How is living in Denver?

My boyfriend and I are seriously thinking about moving to Denver from North Dakota. I hear great things about it like the jobs and the scenery, but I also heard that Northern Denver is bad. Anyone who lives in Denver or Louisville or the surrounding areas who would like to give me some input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Update:

I've heard that North Denver is bad from a guy who said he rode semi through there. I dont know if I believe him though.

My husband & I moved here from Minnesota & I absolutely love it here. We are currently living in Highlands Ranch. Which is on the south side of Denver. It's gorgeous here! Couldn't be happier with my location.

Northern Denver is bad? Where are you getting your information? The only place I consider "bad" is Aurora, and its actually getting much better for the most part.

Depending on your age and what kind of things you are into, I would suggest lakewood, arvada, golden, wheat ridge, highlands, capital hill, westminster even...

what else do you want to know?
