If today thousands of people left the earth in the blink of an eye. Would there be some who became Christians?

Okay, so a lot of Christians believe in the "rapture" of the church. Where Christ will take them from the world before all the extreme chaos comes. Would you become a Christian if that happened or would it not matter to you? Or would you say it's a coincidence or I don't know, anything?

I'm pretty sure its very simple for people to say that they wouldn't care if millions of christians disappeared simultaneously in an instant. But I can guarantee if a phenomenon like that was to happen there would be a lot of people changing their minds about their spiritual disposition. But then again there are some VERY stubborn people who just won't change their minds.

I mean here's another question, "If the earthquake in Haiti was predicted in the Bible before it occurred would people change their minds?" Well, in a since, it was. But yet ppl still doubt.

"Or how about the prediction of the War in Iraq, and the middle East feud that has been goin on for centuries?" But yet ppl still doubt. And all these things have been predicted in the Bible decades before it has occurred.

That moment ends the "Church Age". Once the rapture begins it is impossible for Gentiles to become "children of God". It won't matter what a person knows, does or says, as it will be too late. During the tribulation 144,000 Jews will become believers in Christ, but they will be killed by Antichrist's army right away. I am certain they will all be young Jewish virgins, both boys and girls, 12,000 from each tribe of Israel. The best a person could hope for during those 7 years is to have a place of safety, surviving until Jesus and His saints return. A fraction of the world's population will survive. If you live in a nation that has been a good friend of Israel you would be of a "sheep nation", favored by God, seeing prosperity. If not, it will be a "goat nation" which will experience great hardship such as frequent droughts the next thousand years. Goat nations will be servants of the Jews, dependent upon them.

EDIT: The mention of the mark of the beast above...without it a person won't be able to buy or sell. Can't dump your house on the market, credit cards worthless, no services at a restaurant, no groceries for the kitchen, no gas or electricity to cook with. If a tribulation survivor can get by without it, escaping the AntiChrist's attention, you might come out the other side into Jesus' millennial kingdom.

I'm always weary of anything written in Revelations. The writer wasn't much of a scholar and his poetry is symbolic, coded and rich with imagery. You need a Phd in ancient near eastern languages to interpret the book. It's never to be read literally or preached from - at least in the sacramental church.

There is a confusion over the second-coming and the rapture.

Anyway that's not what you asked. A lot of us believe everyone is saved, it would be contradictory to God's nature to only select people that say their Christians. Since it's all speculation, maybe the reigning despots who have committed crimes against humanity will be sitting there gob-smacked as their souls lose the light of God. A hellish experience I would imagine.

Check out the film The Rapture with Mimi Rogers - cool movie.

It will be pretty hard to deny what will be happening at that time. It won't actually be an atheist party, not having to hear about God. The temperature of the sun will be increased to scorch men , there will be brimstone and stars falling to the earth, men covered with sores and boils. Yes there can stiil be people who will convert if they did not accept the mark of the beast

Once we're gone, we're gone. There is no second chance except for the Jews.
