How is Foxfire different from Internet Explorer 2000?

If you don't like Foxfire can you still go back to Explorer 2000

and have you been satisfied with Foxfire if you are using it.

I know 2000 is outdated but my computer won't download 7 or 8

or can you use both maybe

Update:

Sorry, It is FireFox and it is already installed on my computer.

Update 2:

First, it's Firefox, not Foxfire. I've been very happy with it since Firefox 1.0.

Second, there is no Internet Explorer 2000. Internet Explorer versions are single digits. You probably have IE6, which I also still have on one of my machines, right beside Firefox 3.5.

Which answers your real question: Yes, you can certainly use both. Only one can be designated as the Default browser, the one that's to be used to open links in documents, but they can both play happily in the same sandbox.

    Hope that helps.

I'll assume you mean Firefox, not Foxfire.

Firefox adheres closer to the standards set out to make web pages, this means pages will work with less fuss than IE. It also runs Javascript and renders pages faster than IE (basically, it runs faster).

You can also install "extensions" that block adverts and track your stock shares many other things

You may also want to consider Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome) which is a very "lightweight" browser that loads very fast and can be customised to look very pretty.

You can use lots of browsers at once if you wish. Firefox and Chrome will not interfere with your IE if you wish to go back to using it.

    Have fun!
