Good for you. First off, drive carefully and take your time. There's much to see on your way. Coming from the Northeast? Stop at the many old cities and towns along our east coast. Coming down I-81 through Virginia? Enjoy the views. Coming down I-75 from the midwest? Stop in Chattanooga and enjoy it's newly invented downtown and also the battlefields on the mountains above the city. Enjoy the beaches of Florida, but take the old highway down the center of the state through the "old Florida", an interesting drive. Have a great time. Remember, there are no wrong turns, just new adventures.
