If it happens, can you give me advice?

Okay Today I went to the mall and applied at The Children's Place and Janie and Jack.

They are both children's clothing stores. Pleeeeease give me luck. I really want and need a job. I want to save up for cosmo school and an apartment. My bf and I fixed things wonderfully

I really need a job. I already applied at Baby's R' us, and baby gap and old navy, but no luck :[

So please give me luck. And its also my first job ever, my parents never allowed me to get a job but yeah.

Give me advice if they ask for an interview, how should I dress, do i have to dress professional, or just comfortable?

Sorry I asked in this section, but I know lots of you ladies are experienced in working.

Can you give me advice?

Update:

OMG i dont have khaki nor black pants.

My sister can lend me her collar shirts. I'll ask my mom if she could help me out in buying khaki pants.

Dress in nice khaki or black pants, a button-up top with a collar, and nice shoes. Make sure your hair is done nicely and such. Don't go over the top. No need to wear a business suit or anything like that. Just look well-kept and PLEASE don't wear jeans! Remember to be vocal (go in and shake whoever is interviewing you's hand), makes sure you answer each question clearly, and no slang! Good luck!

  • If you get called for an interview I would dress professional. Not a suit or anything like that, but nice pair of dress pants and a sweater or collared shirt. Make sure you prepare for the interview as well. Look up some typical interview questions and think about how you would answer them. Nothing is worse then getting caught off guard with a question you dont know how to answer. Some of the tougher ones are "Why do you want to work here?" (because apparently needing money is not a good enough reason to want to work there) "Why do you feel you are best suited for the position?" and "Describe yourself in 3 words." (sounds easy enough, but you want those 3 words to pretain to the job....being outgoing and talkative is not really a huge asset if you are working in a stock room...things like that) Otherwise just be yourself, ask questions (they like when you ask a question or 2...shows you are interested in learning about the company) and good luck!

  • Aw I wish you loads of luck! I was actually thinking of working in those same places, because I'm always there anyway and spend loads of money might as well get a job there and a discount. LOL. I do agree on dressing professionally, don't over do it, but a nice pair of slacks, a pressed shirt, you being neat and nicely put together will also help. A fresh face and fresh breath is also a plus :). Be confident in yourself and try not to worry, hopefully you'll get the job in no time. Lots of luck :)

  • The dress code for an interview is usually business casual. Meaning dressier than if you were say, going to visit a friend, but not like dressed up if that makes sense lol

Here is an example of business casual:

Also, they'll ask questions like "How can you benefit our company?" or "Why do you want to work for us?". Along with character questions like "What do you consider to be your best traits?". So be prepared for questions like that.

And The Children's Place does more than one interview as well, but I'm not sure how many. I had my initial interview and they wanted me back for a second one. Then I was offered another job so I never made it further in the application process.

Hayden's mom had very good advice.

Remember to make good eye contact, and sit up straight, smile and be friendly, but not cheesy. It would be a good idea to have your mom or dad or another adult sit down with you and do a mock interview. That way they can ask you questions that you will probably be asked in the interview, and you can prepare for them. One of my favorites is "Why should we hire you?" Or, "Tell me about yourself." Also confidence is good, but not cocky.

And it is a general rule to dress one step above how you would dress at your potential job. For example, if you job would have you wearing jeans, wear slacks.

    Good luck to you.

I suppose an 18 12 months ancient merits to understand the reality, as no well can come from mendacity to her approximately it. Telling a three 12 months ancient that a dog ran away might be the proper factor to do, as they don't comprehend what demise is. Tell her the reality. I do not suppose a dog can grasp itself, I'm used to be practically satisfied the 15 12 months ancient had some thing to do with it, perhaps, while I first began studying the put up. Tell her the dog is useless, for the reason that she lay cross out watching for it, and it is simply no longer proper to deliver her that fake wish. I'd take a image and exhibit the niece, and spot if she thinks that perhaps her brother had soemthing to do with it as good. I'm no longer looking to accuse him, however you by no means recognise, puppies simply do not cross grasp themselves, it is might be lovely rough to do.

I used to work at Hanna Andersen, a baby clothing store and I'm sure business casual would be just fine for an interview and just relax and be yourself and answer the questions honestly. I think employers appreciate that more than anything...Good Luck! :)
