  • Need some help. Not really a baby question. But need advice please...?

    Hello mothers.

I'm a 30 year old mother of 3 beautiful kids and I'm married to an amazing man who is also and amazing father to his children.

We've been married 8 years and he is truly wonderful. There isn't anything I would change about it him and our marriage.

Ok here's my problem, for a few months now I've been missing my ex! I had a saw him a few months ago, he didn't see me but I saw him. He looks great and I know he's also married with a few kids.

I found his family on social media and now I can see pics of him.

Our relationship ended on a really sour note. We were together for a year and he was my first true love and our relationship ended almost 9 years ago.

All my feelings I had for him returned and now I'm missing him. To the point I wanna call him and meet to talk!

But I'm sure reaching out to him is a bad idea. I don't ever wanna ruin mine or his marriage.

I dunno why this is happening. Like I said our relationship ended on a sour note over something that he couldn't resolve (long story).

I never wanna betray my husband or put our relationship in jeopardy ever. There isn't anything my marriage is lacking. I just miss my ex and our relationship.

Please don't judge me. I need advice

Mothers has this ever happened to you?

Did you ever reach out to your ex?

  • Parents with kid(s) who have Autism or ASD, please shed some light, need answers?

I have an almost 2 1/2 yr old who might be showing some signs of Autism. But his doctors and therapist have left us in limbo.

He doesn't speak quite well, he does babble, and says a few things like "whoa, uh oh" etc... when playing and says them appropriately.

So his therapist believe he has Autism because doesn't say full words and his social interaction isnt quite there yet.

He does fine with large crowds and peers his age, doesn't quite play with them but side by side.

We have seen a developmental specialist who said she "assumes his on the spectrum" because didn't mimic play with her and threw a tantrum at that appointment. But he's 2 what 2 year old likes a doctors appointment.

Also he makes eye contact recognizes his family, points pictures out in a book doesn't do repiptitive play.

My question is, when/how was your child diagnosed with Autism and what werre thier symptoms?

Any info advice is very well appreciated, thanks.

  • Parents, Do you have/had your kids' in preschool...?

If so, how do they like it? If you didn't, why not?

My 4 yr old just started preschool and seems so-so about it.

She's usually very vocal and talkative about starting something new for first time.

When I ask her about her day and school, she doesn't say much or says "we had snacks".

I know its only a few hours, but for a kid who speaks of something for hours and suddenly not say much, kinda concerns me.

I'm giving her a few more days and take it from there. Hopefully its nothing to worry about.

What do you think? Did your kids' act the same way?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • Was this a proper way of responding to a late RSVP for a kids' party...?

My 4 yr old has been invited to a friends' party down the block. Unfortunately we can't make it due to previous appointments.

We received the invite card about over a week ago and the party is Sunday. I've been meaning to get back to them sooner, but we just had so much going on and people in and out of the house that it kinda spilled my mind.

The problem is, we seemed to have misplaced the invite card, not sure if it was thrown out by accident or what. But anyways its gone.

Because they live down the block from me, I decided to just walk down to their house and let them know in person we can't attend the party.

Of course when I get there, no one is home.

My thought was to write out a letter saying we can't make it and so fourth and also an apology for the late RSVP. They wanted the RSVP earlier this week.

I went back to my house wrote out brief letter and also a happy birthday to the child and let my 4 yr old add some stickers to it, and put in my neighbors mail box.

I feel bad about all this, but we have just too much going on.

What do you think? What was the proper enough? What would you have done?

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Moms would you stay upset with a friend over this, or...?

Get over it and move on?

A friend of mine that I know for a few years now, I "did" consider her a close friend, but I cant say it was mutual.

Over the course of a few years, I've helped my friend out in so many. When she had her baby girl, I went over to her home bought the baby a few things.

When she didn't have a car I went out of my way and would pick her up and drop her off to work, when her sister was in town I took them out to lunch, my treat.

When times were tough for her, I helped her out with food, rides, clothing etc. Like I really enjoyed helping her out and went out of my way. Of course she knows all this.

So here's my problem. Over a year ago I had a baby, so instantly I assumed she would at least come over and see my new addition. Considering we're friends and that's what friends are for.

So time went on, and she would say like things, "I'm so busy, I have things going on, I don't have a ride, blah blah blah etc." her list of excuses went on.

I do understand people get busy, but come on now. I think what hurt the most was her lack of effort considering she lives like a mile away from me.

Also at the same time she would text me and say she's meeting up with a certain friend and so on.

I did confront her about it and all she would say was I'm sorry. I accepted her apology, but I'm still hurt.

Now every so often she'll invite me to hang out or to her home for lunch. I appreciate the gesture, but I cant get over the hurt. I keep dodging her and I wish she would get my point.

What do you think? Would u be hurt? how would u feel?

    Thanks in advance:)

  • Parents, do have the same meal time as your kids' or...?

Do you eat on your own time?

Usually I feed my kids breakfast and lunch on their own time, because I'm either not hungry at that time or don't feel like eating.

But we always have dinner together and the same time. I always sit and chat with them during meal times, but rarely eat. I might have a bite or two of their left overs or sip on my coffee while they eat.

How does that go in your household, do you eat with your kids or not?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • What do you buy for a 4 year old that literally has everything...?

My daughter will be 4 in a weeks and I just don't know what to get her!

She has everything, and even duplicates of everything she already has. She has tons of toys, shelves upon shelves of books, ride on cars, clothes, pretty dresses and dress up dresses, accessories, just a ton of stuff that is over taken our house lol.

We have a huge immediate family and extended family, so they're always buying her things.

Any ideas on what to get a child who has everything?

Have any of you been in this kind of situation?

    Thanks for any advice :)

  • What's your kid(s) favorite stuffed animals, How many do they have...?

My almost 4 yr old seems to have developed an obsession for stuffed animals. She wasn't quite the fan before. This is recent, she has like 3 shelves full of stuffed animals but only plays with a handful.

Her favorites are the character ones like Minnie Mouse, Daisy, Disney Princesses.

Also where and how do you store their stuffed animals? I was debating on purchasing one of those pet net mesh bag things, but I'm not sure yet. The collection seems to be expanding lol.

How many stuffed animals does your kid have? Whats their favorite one?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • Parents, What food(s) is a staple in your fridge...?

You can always find milk, eggs, cheese, fruits (apples, pears, strawberries, cut up melon), veggies, like cucumbers, bagged lettuce, parsley, lemons, yogurt and pretty much and kind of condiment in my fridge.

That's beside any kind of left over food or goodies we might have for the week.

Those are stuff we usually have on a daily basis and can't live without.

How about you, whats in your fridge and what are things you and your family can't live without?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • Ladies, have you have ever tried Avon skin care...?

There's an Avon store inside the mall that I frequent.

I've purchased there make-up products before, but never their skin care, like moisturizers, face wash, etc...

Their prices are pretty reasonable, but I have combo skin and tend to be sensitive and dry, so a lot of skin care lines make me break out.

Have you tried Avon, was it worth? Do it recommended it?

    Thanks in advance :)

  • What kind of clothes iron do you have...?

About 2 years ago I purchased a back & decker iron. I know it was refurbished, (it said so on the box).

But within a few weeks of using it, the metal bottom part of it became brunt and blackish. I still use almost daily. But I'm not impressed with it at all.

I'm in need of a good iron, I would love a steam iron, but I like the hand held ones and those seem to be pricey. I use my iron daily, so it has to be durable.

I don't plan on spending too much, but it seems be to the pricey ones are the better ones.

What kind do you own or recommend? How often do you iron?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • If your child wakes up in the middle of night and asks for a snack, Do you...?

Send them back to bed (because you think its too late to night), or you give them something to eat?

Once in awhile my 3 yr old will do this. She'll wake up around 11 pm or midnight and say she's hungry and wants a snack.

I always agree and give her something small and healthy, like a banana, apple sticks or carrot sticks, something along those lines.

However my SIL was over and were talking about this very subject, and she says to me "It's to late for her to be eating, and she shouldn't be eating, she should be sent to bed".

I of course didn't listen, I don't think its a big deal, my child does goes straight to bed after that and its a small healthy snack.

What do you usually do in this situation?

Do you think its wrong or not really a big deal?

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • Parents, What books are you currently reading...?

Ok, so I really want to get back into the reading seen.

I haven't read a full book, that doesn't pertain to fables, nursery rhymes, or the alphabet in about 4 years.

I like biography's, some-romance-comedy-mystery, anything to do with real-life stores.

I need some ideas on whats new and hot out there.

What would you recommend and what are you currently reading? Links would be greatly appreciated too.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • Men, How would you feel if your wife/partner went through your phone...?

and found certain text messages and confronted you about it?

A few days I was arguing with my husband and about some silly stuff that had been bothering me for awhile (before I went through his phone).

So later on we spoke about it and made up, things were fine for a few hours.

Then our daughter was playing with his phone, she handed it to me, to put some games on it for her.

Something told me to look through his texts, I found texts of him talking to his sister about me and my family. Saying some pretty nasty and hurtful things (we've had this kind of problem before, but I never confronted him about).

Well I couldn't hold it in and confronted him about. He really didn't say much, just had his head down the whole time.

The next day I bought it up again, and he kind of brushed it off and changed the subject. I don't understand know how he feeling about this.

How would you feel if your wife did this?

Any answers are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Yes, I know stupid question.

But I can't tell anymore. They make websites look so real these days, and that's all you hear on the news that people are being ripped off buying things off of websites that don't exist.

I found this particular website for discounted cosmetics, and before I buy I want to make sure its a legit one.

    Here's the website if you're interested: http://www.buymebeauty.com/

So how can you tell? Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks!
