How do you remove gum stains off clothing...?

There's a big wad of gum on one of my favorite black slacks.

I tried picking most of it off, and I also threw the pants in the drier, but its still there!

I'm so angry. How can I remove the gum?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ice it, and then pick at it again. you could just put them in the freezer for a bit and try.

Get some dry ice making sure to only handle it with gloves on or it will seriously injure you hands, and hold it to the reverse side of the clothing, In a minute or so, the gum should pop off easily.

    WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

    1) Brush the excess stain off the surface of the fabric.

    2) Rinse in water to dilute the stain.

    3) Pretreat with Tide® Liquid. Pour Tide on to cover stain and let set for 20 minutes.

    4) Wash in warm water with 1 use of Tide.

    5) If stain remains, repeat steps before drying.

    CARE LABEL REMINDER

Before treating any garment, refer to the instructions on the care label. Always test solution on a hidden area first. If treating washable silk or wool, follow basic instructions, but hand wash.

If nothing else works, try Goof-off. Spray it on a hidden spot of slacks to make sure the color doesn't fade/bleed. Stuff smells terrible so do it outside or in the garage.

AHH, you threw them in the dryer?! I have heard tell peanutbutter works, it is supposed to dissolve the gum, it did not work for me, neither did the freezer trick. My hand steamer did work though.

Peanut oil, really any oil will loosen the gum and remove it, then wash in the washing machine.
