live streaming tv programs?
First is it legal to live stream something? My friend can't get cable were they are at, in really wooded area and they really want to watch the pro bowl, they usually catch a live stream online but its not always the best. I'd like to help them out and live stream it from my tv to the internet. How would I go about doing that? I have direct tv if that matters.

It's legal. I use a sling box to do it. You can get one at Best Buy and the set up is pretty easy and there are no fees. All your friend will need is the free software from sling and your information. You can also use a free program called orb if you have a TV tuner in your computer. The sling box costs more but it's a more elegant solution than orb.
