i think they are pretty extreme and not very in-touch with reality. they ask people to do pretty extreme stuff and they dont seem to understand that there are a ton of more important issues in our world than animal rights.

PETA: Oh, they're people, we don't give a s**t about them.

PETA thinks any interaction with animals is cruel.

It's difficult to tell whether their goal is to:

    1) Eliminate all human interaction with other species irrespective of the welfare standards applied or benefits to both human and (eg) dog.

    2) To con well-meaning people into parting with their cash.

Either way, they are willing to make things worse for the animals the profess to care so much about.

As a passionate animal welfare advocate, I despise the organisation.

They're nuts..and put the lives of animals over the lives of people.

Animals deserve rights..but there's a limit..and Peta somtimes crosses it.

I support them in most things, but they do go too far on a lot.

Like the groundhog thing, I used to live in Pennsylvania and that groundhog is treated amazingly well.

I think they have good intentions but are way too militant in how they carry out their message. They appear to value animals over human life as well.

    They are nuts.

I would rather support the local SPCA and ASPCA in other areas.
