What are some good words for Hangman?

Hey, I was wondering, what are some good words for Hangman, because whenever I PLAY it and I HAVE TO think of the word, all I can come up is a LOOOOOONG hangman, like a list of the best player on each NFL team, or a list of the best NBA player on each team, and I know that's boring, so I need help, because I can't think of a few words to use. So, can you guys help me by giving me some hard words or phrases?

I win at hangman every time using just a simple 3-letter word. It may be boring, but it is surely frustrating to the people I play with. They see three spaces and can't believe I would be so easy on them. But, 3-letter words are far more difficult than long, complex words because there are hundreds upon hundreds of possibilities for 3-letter words. Consider 3-letter words with a vowel in the middle and consonants at the beginning and the end. The vowel can be a, e, i, o, or u. If you pick one with the letter u as the vowel, the other person will use up 4 guesses just getting the vowel correct if they go down the alphabet of vowels. Then, the first consonant can be any letter except k, v, w, x, or z. So, that leaves another 16 possible guesses, 15 of which could be wrong. There are fewer possibilities once the first two letters are guessed, but by the time they are lucky enough to guess the first two letters, the game is long over. Try it some time and see how you do. I'll give you a few suggestions: joy, boy, pug, pig, fib, vie, via, wad, wag, fix, fly, jet, hag, bop

Source(s): p.s. Sometimes I cheat and just put down three spaces without actually thinking of a word. Then, I say "no" to all letters guessed as long as I can make a word out of the letters that have not been guessed.

Watch Wheel of Fortune. You can get great ideas from that. It always doesn't have to be one word. It can be a phrase as well. Like....."going to the movies".

As "E" s and "S"s are the two most used letters try some words without them...For instance 'driving' has only one vowel (repeated)... best o' luck..
