Is 18th Ave & McDonald in Brooklyn, NY a good neighborhood?

Interesting...I actually work in this area and spend a lot of time there. I would say that yes, it's a good neighborhood. It's mostly a Jewish neighborhood and has many kosher restaurants and businesses. I've been here at all times of the day and I always feel safe in this area, compared to where I live anyway. This area is serviced by the F train, which takes a good 45 minutes or so to get you to Manhattan but I think living or working in a safe neighborhood takes precedence.

As for nightlife, there isn't a whole lot to do. It's mainly an area where there are a lot of small businesses, factories and warehouses. There are one or two local bars in the immediate area though and they serve cheap drinks, though they're nowhere near as classy as Manhattan joints.

I will admit, this place looks a little trashier than it is...but it is perfectly safe. There's very little to worry about.

The location in question is in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn. Its a quite a neighborhood and easily accessible by subway from Midtown or Lower Manhattan.
