I am in the same position as you. I'm hoping for a February or March release for the new MacBook Pro models. These should have intel i5 CPUs and be roughly twice as fast as the current MacBook Pro line. This does not mean that the 2.66 Mhz cpu will be replace with a 5.32 Mhz cpu. The cpu clock speed may be the same or even lower but it will process information much faster.

The last five updates of the Macbook Pro have taken place every 8 months since October 2006:

Probably during the fall because i herd that a new macbook was coming out in fall and apple will most likely take out a whole line of products. also its been a while that they got a new macbook pro

im guessing during junes wwd conference, or sometime later in the fall
