Will Dwight Freeney heal before the Super Bowl?
This question's probably been asked. however I wanted to also ask about why the media isn't criticizing the Colts coaching staff for leaving him in there with two minutes left in the game despite having a convincing two touchdown lead.
Really talk about the irony that the Colts didn't want their key players injured so they gave up on the regular season. However when they were up by a convincing margin they still kept Freeney in. Of course taking a player out is easier said than done considering the huge stakes of the game.

He has just missed his third straight practice in a row. But I think he'll be fine. Remember Demarcus Ware was questionable all week against the Saints? He came in and made a huge impact. He exposed Bushrod and he was over Brees all night. The key to beating the Saints is getting to Brees. But you have to rush 4 and drop 7, cause he'll kill you if you blitz him. They should be able to do that with Freeney and Mathis.
Also, you know that the Colts might sign Mike McKenzie and Jason David? They are trying to learn stuff about the Saints defense. That is smart. But just pray that they don't play those guys haha.
But he'll play regardless, this is the Super Bowl. It is not like a meaningless Week 17 game. I honestly wouldn't of played him in the game with 2 minutes left. But that is the Colts. They may of been trying to just give him some reps so he can have time on the field cause he is gonna be missing practice all week.

I think he'll be fine, the good news for the Colts is they have an extra week off which will greatly benefit Freeney. This is similar to Hines Ward being injured for the Steelers last year, Ward greatly benefited from the extra week off and played, I think Freeney will too, I see no way he misses the biggest game of the season, even if he is banged up.

I'm sure he'll be fine. He still has another 8 days to rest up and I don't think he was really hurt bad, just minor.
